Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your email address — used to send you magic-link sign-in emails and account-related notices.
• Waitlist signups — Weeknight is invite-only. If you ask for a sign-in link with an email that is not yet invited, we store that email address and the time you submitted it, so we can contact you when a beta spot opens. We keep it until you are invited or until you ask us to remove it by emailing support@weeknight.fm. We also use a SHA-256 hash of that address, plus request IP address and user agent, for Reddit ad attribution as described below.
• Subscription records — if you subscribe, Stripe handles your payment details. We retain Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your selected plan, billing status, and renewal date. Weeknight does not receive or store your full card number.
• Your Last.fm username and public listening history — we only read the listening history you have made public on Last.fm, and we use it to rank shows for you.
• Your city and state — your home market, so we can find shows near you.
• Generated recommendations and editorials, and Ask conversations — the show recommendations and write-ups we generate for you, and the conversations you have with the Ask feature, are retained so we can show them back to you.
• Session, security, and request data — magic-link tokens, session cookies, IP addresses, and basic request information, to keep the service working and secure.
• Limited product-use events — whether an authenticated user saw a usable Shows or Touring slate and whether they activated a ticket link. These events use an internal account ID and show ID; they do not include your email, the destination URL, listening history, recommendation text, or a browser fingerprint.

How we use it

• To provide the service: generate recommendations and editorials, answer Ask questions, and show you your home market's shows.
• To operate and secure the service, including preventing abuse of the sign-in flow.
• To contact you about your account, such as magic links and service notices.
• To measure waitlist signups that follow our ads, using hashed identifiers shared with Reddit as described below.
• To understand how the beta is used so we can improve it.

What we share

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads, and we do not allow third-party advertising on Weeknight.

• Cloudflare — hosts the service and provides Turnstile, the bot check on the sign-in page. Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum is available at cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy.
• Resend — delivers our transactional email, including magic links.
• Stripe — processes subscription payments and provides subscription and billing management. Stripe receives the information you provide at checkout.
• Sentry — receives privacy-restricted technical error reports so we can detect and fix failures. We disable user identity, cookies, request bodies, listening data, and AI inputs and outputs in those reports.
• Reddit — when a new waitlist signup is recorded, we send Reddit's Conversions API a SIGN_UP event containing a SHA-256 hash of the canonicalized email address, along with the request IP address, user agent, signup time, and a unique conversion id, for ad attribution. We never send Reddit the raw email address.
• Last.fm — we read your public listening history through Last.fm's API. We do not send your listening history to Last.fm.
• AI providers — to generate recommendations and editorials, Weeknight uses contracted AI providers configured by the service. The specific providers and models in use can change as the service evolves.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time by emailing support@weeknight.fm. We will confirm the request and delete what we can, including your Ask conversations, within a reasonable time.

Raw product-use events are kept for about 90 days and are deleted with the linked account. We use them only to understand whether the beta is useful.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Because Weeknight is a beta, some details may change as the service does.
